High Jump Chicago // Fundraising Video

High Jump is a Chicago nonprofit that offers two-year, tuition-free academic enrichment programs to qualifying youth in Chicago. The programs include rigorous academic and leadership development. Students attend weekend sessions totaling 350 annual instructional hours to study advanced coursework in math, science, writing, reading and the arts. The purpose of the video production was to show donors the impact this nonprofit has on Chicago youth.

For this video production, we worked with our client to select three students to profile. Two of them are graduates of the High Jump program and currently are teaching assistants there. The other student is currently enrolled. All of them had compelling stories as to why High Jump changed the course of their lives forever..

We filmed four days gathering the interviews and b-roll to help tell each of the student’s stories. We used our aerial drone and High Definition Sony A7Sii cameras.

The video production was first shown at the Chicago nonprofit‘s gala. $840,000 was raised at the annual benefit that night!

Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago // Fundraising Videos

Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago is a Chicago nonprofit organization that provides after school activities for Chicago youth. This video production series focuses on two stories: the problem that exists in Chicago neighborhoods and the solution that this Chicago nonprofit provides.

In the first video, we featured three main characters:
-A TV news stringer who knows Chicago streets and the violence that plagues them all too well
-An Author and Journalist who writes about race and poverty and is also the Producer of a documentary
-A Club Director who talks about what she sees around her club

The video we produced followed the news stringer at night driving through the streets of Chicago, a very candid interview with the Club Director about the challenges her club’s kids face and a sobering reminder about the persistence of Chicago’s violence from the Author and Journalist.

The first video was shown to an audience of around 500 people at Navy Pier. After that, the second video played:

After the second video played, they did a paddle raise and more than $1 million was raised to help the Chicago nonprofit! To watch a video recap of the event itself, CLICK HERE.

Children’s Advocacy Center // Fundraising Video

The Children’s Advocacy Center of North & Northwest Cook County provides resources that empower and heal abused children. They also provide resources to help prevent abuse and violence against children.

The nonprofit organization is based in Hoffman Estates with satellite offices in Evanston, Northbrook, and Streamwood. Through forensic interviews conducted in cooperation with local law enforcement authorities, children are able to share their stories of abuse one time in a safe place. The interviews are recorded for investigation and legal purposes. About 400 children are interviewed each year at the The Children’s Advocacy Center. Before this nonprofit organization was founded, children would often have to tell their story of abuse several times in less than ideal settings.

For this video production, the nonprofit wanted to raise money for its aging video recording system. Over the course of one day, we filmed several interviews and b-roll. In this video, we not only wanted to show viewers what the video recording system looked like but also why the system needed to be replaced. So, we used some video footage captured from the system and included it in the video to show the poor audio and video quality they currently get from the system.

After our video was played at the event, the nonprofit raised over $25,000, which exceeded their goal!
