Bethany Methodist Communities Video Production + Audio Visual Support

Each year, Bethany Methodist Communities hosts a fundraising event for their Good Samaritan Fund. Bethany Methodist Communities is a nonprofit, non-sectarian organization that manages: Methodist Hospital Chicago; Partners in Healthcare, which is a licensed home care service; and several senior living communities, including: Bethany Retirement Community (Chicago, Illinois), Chestnut Square at The Glen (Glenview, Illinois), Terrace Gardens (Morton Grove, Illinois), and The Bethany Terrace (Morton Grove, Illinois).

The Good Samaritan Fund helps subsidize costs for residents who are otherwise unable to afford the care they need. Bethany Methodist enlisted the help of Delack Media Group to produce a series of videos that were shown at their fundraising event. With a video crew of four people, we captured interviews at their facilities from several residents, family members of residents, and staff members. Here is one of the vignettes that were shown:

In addition to the video production, Delack Media Group handled all of the AV (audio visual) support for the fundraising event, which was held at the Holiday Inn Skokie. We had two 4’11″x8’9″ rear projection truss screens with black trim kit displaying the video and full screen graphics, multiple wireless microphones, a live audio technician, event director & producer, and a tape-based High Definition camera to videotape the entire event.

Here’s a sample of the lighting we used during the video shoot:

Abe’s Market Live Webcast

Abe’s Market is an online all natural/eco-friendly/organic marketplace. Sellers throughout the country are able to market their products on the Abe’s Market website, which are then sold and shipped throughout the world. Abe’s Market founders came to us with the vision of wanting to have a live webcast, where their sellers could show their products (in the environment they’re made) and interact online real-time with Abe’s Market internet shoppers.

Delack Media Group coordinated all of the technical production for the webcast, which was broadcast from a home in the Northern suburbs of Chicago. All of the sellers provided their own laptop with internet connection and video conferencing. It was fun to see how each of them were unique in their presentation. Each of the webcasts were approximately two hours in duration. During the webcast, sellers were able to interact with the two show hosts and also with the online internet audience through the Facebook chat module.

For the webcast, we created an animated motion graphics open, using their logo. Our concept was to have the Abe’s Market bear pushing the shopping cart across the screen and then empty out the “Abe’s Market Live!” titling:

In all, we produced 7 live internet streaming webcasts. It was a massive technical production with multiple live video feeds coming into the control room and then out for live internet broadcast. Abe’s Market sales increased during the webcast. The run was such a hit, the website founders have decided to continue the webcast on a frequent basis. Here’s an example of one of the segments:

After the webcast, we edited down all of the seller segments into separate clips and uploaded it to the website’s server. Each seller’s page now has their own video on the Abe’s Market website.

Monitor Liability Managers, LLC Insurance Conference Video

Monitor Liability Managers, LLC approached Delack Media Group to produce a video for an annual industry conference they were attending. Monitor Liability Managers, LLC is an insurance underwriting management company specializing in executive and professional liability insurance. They are a member of the W.R. Berkley Corporation, which is a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange.

Monitor Liability Managers, LLC values the relationship they’ve built with the PLUS (Professional Liability Underwriters Society) organization. For PLUS’ 2010 conference, Monitor Liability Managers, LLC wanted to produce a video (without any spoken words) that would demonstrate how the two organizations compliment eachother.

They came up with the concept of having their employees hold up signs in various settings. Their marketing department is amazing. With their help, we were able to pull off the production and deliver the digital files to Texas for all of the conference attendees to view.
