Chicago Animated Explainer Video Production

e-RentPay.com // Animated Explainer

eRentPay is an exciting new online property management tool for property managers and tenants. The software has a lot of great features. So, they needed an animated explainer video that quickly explained the software’s benefits.

Whenever we produce an animated explainer video, there are several steps in the production process. Our first step is learning more about the brand, what makes it unique, and how we can effectively communicate its marketplace position to the target audience. Then, we develop a script. Some brand are very straightforward professional while others might be more relaxed. Each video production is unique and we tailor each script to that brand. After script approval, we dive into the visuals and create several different styleframes from which the client can choose, which determines the overall visual approach of the animated explainer video. Scenes are created in Photoshop and animated in After Effects.

Simultaneously, we work with a professional voiceover to track the script. The voiceover dictates overall pacing of the piece. Scenes are timed to the voiceover track. Then, we add music and sound effects! This video was released on the company’s website and social media channels.

Lowe’s // Helping Build Strong Communities

The Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) provides affordable housing to more than 62,000 low-income families. To help with that mission, they needed a supplier who shared their vision.

Chicago Video Production

Lowe’s Home Improvement began working with the CHA to provide safe places for Chicagoans to live. Lowe’s hired us to produce a storytelling-based interview video production about this exciting new partnership.

Chicago Video Production

For this Chicago video production, we filmed for three days on the project. The first day, we filmed an interview with CHA’s CEO, Eugene Jones Jr. and an interview with a CHA resident. During the second day, we filmed a timelapse and b-roll at the Lowe’s Lincoln Park store and several CHA housing units. Both days, we filmed with our A7Sii camera. The third day was reserved for aerial drone filming . The client logged the interviews and created a script from which we edited the footage and provided to them to do a final cut and color. The video production first played at an employee meeting and was later shared on the company’s news website and social media.

Prevent Child Abuse America | A Mother’s Wish

Prevent Child Abuse America is a nationwide nonprofit organization with its headquarters in Chicago. The nonprofit organization hired our video production company to produce a branding film that reflected its new marketing campaign. Their mission is to promote the healthy development of children and prevent child abuse before it can occur.

Based on the new marketing campaign, we worked on messaging for the video production and developed a script that emphasized the importance of raising a healthy child from a mother’s perspective. Paired with appropriate visuals, a voiceover and inspirational music, we were able to produce a video that is being used in both online and offline social media and fundraising campaigns!
