Samaritan Counseling Center // Nonprofit Event

Samaritan Counseling Center Northwest is a Barrington, Illinois-based nonprofit organization that provides counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups.

The organization was holding a holiday fundraising event at The Garlands of Barrington. Our client wanted the video we produced to not only highlight the event but also to serve as a branding film for the organization.

In addition to filming with our High Definition DSLR video cameras, post production included the organization’s graphics. We create a full screen logo animation at the end and lower third graphics, which complimented the logo design. We also setup a YouTube channel for them, which will host future video content.

The Morton Arboretum // Illumination Promo Video

The Morton Arboretum is a 1,700 acre tree museum that is located in Lisle, Illinois. It collects and studies trees, shrubs, and other plants from all around the world and displays them in its property for visitors to enjoy.

During the Winter, the nonprofit decorates their landscape with colorful lights that respond to visitor’s touch and voice. This is the second year they’ve held Illumination: Tree Lights at The Morton Arboretum. To enhance its online marketing campaign, the organization hired us to update its original video with new scenes and experiences from the event. We filmed on the grounds with our DSLR video cameras. We also updated the motion graphics within After Effects to reflect new event dates.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago // Annual Appeal Video Series

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago is a nonprofit that provides youth with after school activities in some of Chicago’s toughest neighborhoods. As part of the organization’s annual appeal, they were mailing postcards that profiled specific club members and their personal stories. They wanted a series of videos that would compliment the mailers in an online multimedia presentation. Our idea was to profile specific club members and tell a story about their personal experiences with the neighborhood clubs.

We went to three of the nonprofit’s Chicago clubs to film with our DSLR and slow motion video cameras. We also recorded professional audio on location.

We edited all three videos in the series and worked with the client to deliver a seamless online visual presentation to its donors.
