Motion Design

Monitor Liability Managers, LLC + PLUS = An Equation for success

Monitor Liability Managers, LLC approached Delack Media Group to produce a video for the annual PLUS (Professional Liability Underwriters Society) insurance industry conference they were attending.

The video concept was to use mostly motion graphic elements, showing how the two organizations benefit each other. The treatment was to use an equation of ___ + ____ = ____. So, we came up with the chalkboard theme, where different scenes would reveal through the graphic animation. We provided styleframes to the client, which gave them an idea of how the graphics would be laid out on the screen.

We transitioned from scene to scene on the chalkboard through motion graphics and combined video segments that we filmed at the client’s Rolling Meadows, Illinois campus. We created a final logo animation, added music, chalkboard sound effects, dust, and delivered the video on time and within budget. The final video was shown at the conference to attendees and received rave reviews:

Girls on the Run Chicago Nonprofit Video

Girls on the Run is a nonprofit organization in Chicago that educates and prepares girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. They came to Delack Media Group, wanting us to produce a video for their upcoming fundraiser event. The video’s purpose was to use soundbites from their staff and those who were part of the training program to communicate the organization;s mission and impact on its participants.

Here is the promotional video we produced for them:

Here is how the video appeared on their branded YouTube channel:

We broke the full video into two smaller segments:

We took their logo and animated it. The concept was to make the logo run across the screen and reveal all the letters around the logo to match the music score we had chosen:

Abe’s Market Live Webcast

Abe’s Market is an online all natural/eco-friendly/organic marketplace. Sellers throughout the country are able to market their products on the Abe’s Market website, which are then sold and shipped throughout the world. Abe’s Market founders came to us with the vision of wanting to have a live webcast, where their sellers could show their products (in the environment they’re made) and interact online real-time with Abe’s Market internet shoppers.

Delack Media Group coordinated all of the technical production for the webcast, which was broadcast from a home in the Northern suburbs of Chicago. All of the sellers provided their own laptop with internet connection and video conferencing. It was fun to see how each of them were unique in their presentation. Each of the webcasts were approximately two hours in duration. During the webcast, sellers were able to interact with the two show hosts and also with the online internet audience through the Facebook chat module.

For the webcast, we created an animated motion graphics open, using their logo. Our concept was to have the Abe’s Market bear pushing the shopping cart across the screen and then empty out the “Abe’s Market Live!” titling:

In all, we produced 7 live internet streaming webcasts. It was a massive technical production with multiple live video feeds coming into the control room and then out for live internet broadcast. Abe’s Market sales increased during the webcast. The run was such a hit, the website founders have decided to continue the webcast on a frequent basis. Here’s an example of one of the segments:

After the webcast, we edited down all of the seller segments into separate clips and uploaded it to the website’s server. Each seller’s page now has their own video on the Abe’s Market website.
