DREAM BIG
Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago

For it's upcoming Chicago nonprofit fundraising event, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago's Women's Board wanted to feature someone who had gone through the nonprofit's programs and was working in their dream job.
Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago
What We Made
We produced a story about Mercedes. Her parents were Mexican immigrants who moved to one of Chicago’s tough neighborhoods. The streets were riddled with violence and gangs. Her brother was shot at. Mercedes found out about the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago, a nonprofit organization in her neighborhood.
How We Did It
Once our film’s subject were identified, we interviewed Mercedes about her story of growing up in Chicago and where she is today. From that, a script was developed. We filmed on two days with a Sony A7Sii, which allowed us to film in a picture profile that allowed for maximum post production color grading. Our crew also included a field audio operator and Grip. On the first day of filming, we captured the soundbites with our subject as well as various b-roll shots around the club. On the second day of filming, we followed our subject around while working. Post production services included editing, music licensing, color grading, and sound mixing.
How We Delivered It
The film was delivered to the client digitally to be shown at the nonprofit’s fundraising event. After this video was shown at the event, over $1.4 million was raised! We also delivered separate versions for social media.

“It was absolutely fabulous! Everyone loved it. THANK YOU! It is such a wonderful video.”
