Chicago Spanish Wedding Video

Amy + Juan // Chicago Wedding

Sometimes, when you least expect it, love just happens. Juan had been working at Best Buy in their photography department. Amy was hired for seasonal work as a bilingual (Spanish & English) associate. During a new employee orientation, the two instantly became friends. They lost touch but reconnected when Amy was looking to purchase a new camera. Six years after they first met, Juan Proposed to Amy during a family Christmas gathering. The two are very much in love with each other. One of our (many) favorite moments from this wedding happened when Juan promised everyone at the reception that he would spend the rest of his life doing whatever he could to make Amy happy.

As a side note, we always love hearing about how our clients find us. Amy was friends with one of our previous clients, Vicky + Eric. When Amy first saw our wedding videography work, she wasn’t engaged but said to herself that whenever she became engaged, she wanted to have Delack Media Group film her wedding day. Amy and her Mom frequently visited our wedding blog, sharing a few tears and tissues. When Juan proposed, she contacted us right away to check availability. We couldn’t have been more thrilled to film our very first completely Spanish wedding ceremony for this wonderful couple.

Salvage One Wedding Video

Jess + Cody // Salvage One

Salvage One is one of Chicago’s many unique wedding venues. From the moment Jess & Cody’s guests set foot inside the multi-level warehouse, you could see their faces light up. From wall to wall, Salvage One is filled with some of the most unique antique/vintage architectural elements that were saved from the wrecking ball. During the week, homeowners, designers, and historians browse the artifacts for sale. On the weekend, the space is turned into a wedding venue. Pretty unique, right? It’s the first time we ever filmed a wedding here but one of the cinematographers on our team used to live in the space many years ago when it had apartment-style lofts!

The Wedding
Where should we start? How about Jess’ stunning Vera Wang gown? It was an amazing piece of art, coupled with their floral and bridesmaids gowns, that complimented Jess + Cody’s vintage wedding theme.

Cody’s Uncle was scheduled to officiate their ceremony. However an illness the night before their wedding sent everyone scrambling for a replacement. Cody’s Aunt, who is also a professor of history, stepped in and added many beautiful touches to their wedding program.

They were surrounded by their family, friends, and Cody’s baseball teammates from his college days at the University of Notre Dame. Jess and Cody, thank you for asking us to film your day. We hope this short trailer will remind you of that beautiful weekend in October when you said, “I do”.
