We love morning letters. When I got married, my wife and I wrote notes to each other the morning of our wedding. It was a nice, sentimental way to let the other person know how you feel about them right before you walk down the aisle. Emily + Jimmy exchanged two notes prior to their vows-one during their morning preps and another right before the ceremony. We’ve filmed some amazing morning letters….and some amazing gifts that have gone with them. Emily + Jimmy’s was no exception. One of the gifts Emily gave Jimmy was a Q&A book. One of the questions was: “If Hollywood made a reality show about us, it would be called…” Emily answered it by saying, “Teacher Falls for a Cop”, which referred to their careers.
Emily and Jimmy have huge hearts and it showed throughout their day. This was the first time we filmed a “First Look” without the bride and groom actually seeing each other. Emily came to us with this idea. She wanted to hold Jimmy’s hand without breaking the tradition of seeing each other on the day of their wedding before the ceremony. So, we coordinated for the two of them to hold hands around the corner in the basement of St. Mary’s Catholic Church (Mokena, Ilinois). We did an awesome photo tour with Jolie Images around the Orland Park train station. The evening concluded with dancing by DJ Dino G at Crystal Tree Country Club (Orland Park, Illinois).
