Robyn + TJ // Las Vegas
I met Robyn at a wedding that we were both working at a few years ago. It was Delack Media Group’s first year in business as a wedding cinematography studio in Chicago. I was filming the wedding and she was photographing it. Robyn is an extremely talented photographer with an amazingly creative eye. So, when she asked me to film her wedding at the Four Seasons Las Vegas (in the shadows of Mandalay Bay), I was honored.
Throughout the process of preparing for their Las Vegas wedding, I enjoyed getting to know TJ. The two of them are truly a perfect match. While living in California, Robyn took a photography class at a local college. Building her brand of Robyn Rachel Photography on the West coast, Robyn eventually decided to give Chicago a try. During her first week in Chicago, Robyn and TJ met. They shared an immediate attraction and Robyn knew Chicago would eventually have to become her home.
Filming one of the most important days of someone’s life is a tremendous responsibility. When a photographer of Robyn’s caliber asks me to film this day, it’s very humbling to me. Their ceremony and reception were absolutely beautiful. We also did a photo session at Hyde Lounge in front of the famous Bellagio water fountains. Guests at the ceremony and cocktail hour even listened to live music from American Idol contestant (top 100 Season 11) Mahi Crabbe! The colors, the sights, and the sounds of Vegas were everywhere. With this trailer, I wanted to bring the viewer into Sin City and make them feel like they were there with us. Robyn and TJ: Thank you!
