Three days of amazing Indian culture wrapped into one trailer. After seeing much of our previous South Asian cinematic wedding film work, Rutvi and Milan contacted us. They loved our style and the way we captured the beautiful Indian wedding traditions.

On the first night, their Mehendi celebration and musical event took place at the Waterford Banquet and Conference Center in Elmhurst, Illinois, where we are one of their preferred vendors for wedding videography. Their beautiful Moroccan-themed room, was designed by Dream Occasions in Hanover Park, Illinois. On the second day, they had their Garba/Raas celebration. The third day culminated in a beautiful wedding ceremony, which was also at the Waterford Banquet and Conference Center.

We frequently see couples exchanging cards or gifts in the morning, but we haven’t seen it done with an iPad. One of Rutvi’s wedding gifts to Milan was an iPad. In the iPad, she typed a beautiful note to Milan. We captured a portion of that letter in this trailer. Rutvi also came up with the idea to do a first look (in front of the mandap). For the first time on their wedding day, Rutvi and Milan were able to see each other. It was a beautiful moment we were able to capture.

Rutvi and Milan also came to us with the idea of creating a concept film about their first date, which was shown at their reception. This film, which was entirely scripted by the couple, is a hilarious look at how that day went. The film continues to include engagement pictures of them together, which were taken by Kyle Flubacker, and what it might look like for their future. Enjoy!

There’s more than one reason Dhara was smiling on her wedding day. Just a few days before their wedding, Jaimin ended up in the emergency room with a basketball injury. His father said (during his reception speech), “Whenever we have an event planned, he decides to play basketball and get some kind of injury.” All turned out well and Jaimin was able to dance his way through the Barat and up to the mandap, which was custom created by Elegance Decor.

We slowed the pace down on this wedding cinematography trailer, trying to capture the beauty and essence of a Hindu wedding. One of the more poignant speeches during the wedding reception was that of Dhara’s sister. She spoke of how Dhara and Jaimin have decided to move from Chicago to Los Angeles, California. Counting the number of miles between the two cities, she spoke of how her big sister will always be near to her heart.
