Little did Annie know that TJ had later contacted us to reserve their date and asked us to keep the big secret. A few weeks before their wedding, TJ brought out his laptop, logged onto the Delack Media Group wedding blog and showed Annie one of our latest trailers. Annie looked at TJ and smiled. “I know where this is going,” she later told her friends about that moment. TJ broke the news to her that he had hired us to film their big day. Needless to say, Annie was ecstatic.
Heavenly music from the Magical Strings of Youth filled the air at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (Chicago) for Annie + TJ’s wedding ceremony. They also incorporated a few Filipino wedding ceremony traditions. The wedding coins (Arras or Arrhae) symbolize mutual support and responsibility. The veil is a symbol of the couple’s unity (being “clothed as one”), and the cord is placed over the heads of the couple and draped over their shoulders to signify the couple’s bond.
After the ceremony, we went to the Cancer Survivors Garden for shots with their wedding party. Then, everyone danced the night away at the Ravenswood Event Center.
