DarusSalam Foundation Logo

DarusSalam Foundation is one of the newest mosques being built in the Chicago suburb of Lombard, Illinois. They hired Delack Media Group to produce a video that would show donors the project’s progress and help with fundraising for completion of the campus. We met with the foundation’s Directors and project team leaders to develop a cohesive message that would show viewers an inside view of the mosque. Due to religious reasons, one of the challenging parts of this production was the inability to show anyone’s faces in the video. So, we used voiceovers from the project’s Architect/Structural Engineer/Builder, Directors, and community members; and also used silhouette shots of people praying in the masjid. Here are the lower third motion graphics we created to introduce each speaker

Here’s how the video appeared on their website:

Our video crew filmed for one day at the campus with our Steadicam, jib, and HD video cameras. Post production was completed with the call to prayer as a bed. The video was shown at DarusSalam Foundation’s fundraising event and will appear on their website.Ffilming oustide the DarusSalam Foundation mosque in Lombard, Illinois with a 5d mark ii DSLR. Girls on the Run Chicago Nonprofit Video

Girls on the Run is a nonprofit organization in Chicago that educates and prepares girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. They came to Delack Media Group, wanting us to produce a video for their upcoming fundraiser event. The video’s purpose was to use soundbites from their staff and those who were part of the training program to communicate the organization;s mission and impact on its participants.

Here is the promotional video we produced for them:

Here is how the video appeared on their branded YouTube channel:

We broke the full video into two smaller segments:

We took their logo and animated it. The concept was to make the logo run across the screen and reveal all the letters around the logo to match the music score we had chosen:

Bethany Methodist Fundraiser

Bethany Methodist Communities Video Production + Audio Visual Support

Each year, Bethany Methodist Communities hosts a fundraising event for their Good Samaritan Fund. Bethany Methodist Communities is a nonprofit, non-sectarian organization that manages: Methodist Hospital Chicago; Partners in Healthcare, which is a licensed home care service; and several senior living communities, including: Bethany Retirement Community (Chicago, Illinois), Chestnut Square at The Glen (Glenview, Illinois), Terrace Gardens (Morton Grove, Illinois), and The Bethany Terrace (Morton Grove, Illinois).

The Good Samaritan Fund helps subsidize costs for residents who are otherwise unable to afford the care they need. Bethany Methodist enlisted the help of Delack Media Group to produce a series of videos that were shown at their fundraising event. With a video crew of four people, we captured interviews at their facilities from several residents, family members of residents, and staff members. Here is one of the vignettes that were shown:

In addition to the video production, Delack Media Group handled all of the AV (audio visual) support for the fundraising event, which was held at the Holiday Inn Skokie. We had two 4’11″x8’9″ rear projection truss screens with black trim kit displaying the video and full screen graphics, multiple wireless microphones, a live audio technician, event director & producer, and a tape-based High Definition camera to videotape the entire event.

Here’s a sample of the lighting we used during the video shoot:
