There are so many decisions that go into planning a wedding, but the first decision you make that your guests will see is their wedding invitation. When Lauren and Kristopher were ready to share the date with their friends and family, they wanted to do something more than the standard paper wedding invites. To make it uniquely theirs, we created an innovative wedding invitation using video.
So, how did we do it? First, we had to figure out what to say in the wedding invitation. Lauren worked on all of the text content and sent that to us. Then, we had a watercolor artist draw peonies flowers around different panels of the wedding invitation.
Lauren’s wedding colors were pink with lots of bling! So, we came up with the concept of using silver foil on various parts of her wedding video invitation.
We drew their initials as a monogram on the front and used a silver foil emboss. The back of the wedding video invite symbolized the three diamonds in Lauren’s wedding band, which were custom designed by a jeweler. In the middle of each diamond were Lauren and Kristopher’s new initials as a married couple.
Here’s the video our print shop sent us to show their progress with the printing production. You can imagine how happy we were!!
The silver foil wasn’t quite enough bling so we added crystal embellishments onto the front of each wedding invitation. All of them were hand placed and glued.
Here’s how the silver foil and crystal embellishments look in the light:
We recorded them and their children reading a Bible verse commonly read at weddings and then edited footage showing them around their wedding venue for guests to watch. The video wedding invitation was put onto LCD screens that were housed completely in custom-designed packaging.
The peonies flowers are Lauren’s favorite and they were also used at her wedding. The end product was an invitation and a wedding, their guests would not soon forget!
