It’s quite an honor when someone from another state sees our work and loves it so much that they want to fly us in to film their wedding. That’s exactly what happened with Neha and Amrit. Surfing the internet for some of the best vendors in the country, they assembled a “dream team” of South Asian vendors for their Indian wedding in Columbus, Ohio.

On the first night, their Sangeet/Mehdni party was held at The Vault in downtown Columbus, which was a historic bank in the 1920’s. Very cool venue! On the next day, their wedding ceremony and reception took place at the Hilton Columbus/Polaris in Columbus, Ohio. We also drove around Old Worthington, Ohio, where Neha had grown up. We did a nice photo shoot in front of Graeter’s Ice Cream and P.K. O’Ryan’s Irish Pub.

Neha and Amrit, it was an honor to film your wedding. We hope this trailer brings back memories of that wonderful weekend!

11 Aug Neera + Shreyas // A Libertyville, Illinois Indian Wedding

Hindu Weddings Traditions Unveiled DVD Banner Ad

Just like so many of our clients, Neera and Shreyas were looking for something different. They didn’t want the typical long, boring wedding video. Through recommendations from their friends, they saw our wedding cinematography work and instantly fell in love with our short form wedding films.

Their wedding was a perfect platform for our creative style of filming. While Neera and Shreyas are both Indian by ethnicity, their wedding still represented the blending of two cultures. Neera’s family comes from Northern India and practices Jainism and Shreyas’ family originated from Southern India and practice Brahminical Hinduism.

Battling on and off rain throughout the entire day, we were able to capture some really nice shots during the baraat (groom’s procession) and at Independence Grove with our Steadicam (flying camera shots).

We hope you enjoy this wedding trailer as a wonderful memory of this beautiful day.
