There’s something about a Same Day Edit (SDE). It’s the ability to watch amazing moments that happened throughout the wedding day. It’s instant gratification of an already emotional day. Whenever we post a wedding trailer online, we don’t always get to see everyone’s raw emotions and reactions while watching their trailer, but with an SDE, we do. Every time we show an SDE, it’s humbling to see the pure emotion that comes from watching our work.
Christen had been following our work for awhile; even before she was engaged. She told us that when Mike popped the question, she knew that our studio had to film their wedding. What transpired was an amazing journey with a wonderful couple. Always deferring to our creativity, Christen and Mike gave us full creative license to produce an awesome wedding trailer. We deployed our 12’ camera crane, Steadicam, and multiple cameras to document their entire day. These are cinematic tools that you will often see in the movies, but rarely in a wedding video. Handing off footage to our editor throughout the day, we were able to put together a video that had people in tears.
Christen and Mike, the journey has been amazing. You are a wonderful couple and we’ve enjoyed working with you and are honored you chose us to document your beautiful day.
Christen and Mike came to us with the idea of producing a Save the Date video. For the full blog post on that, you can read it here. This is the video that was played all around the world and received some news exposure:
